AWERO Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
This policy explains what data the AWERO alarm app for iPhone and Android uses, why, and how you can control it.
In short. AWERO works without an account. Your alarms, wake-up history and settings are stored on your phone. We show no ads, sell no data and do not track you across other apps or websites.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is [owner] ("we"). Contact: [email].
2. Data stored only on your phone
- Alarms: time, repeat days, time zone, task (Math, Steps, Squats or QR code), difficulty, and the content of the QR code or barcode you chose.
- Wake-up history: when an alarm rang, whether the task was completed, how long it took, and whether Emergency stop was used. Your streak, weekly statistics and Profile numbers are calculated from it.
- Settings: sound, gradual volume, vibration, bedtime reminder, place names for QR codes, and your name — only if you entered one.
This data is deleted when you delete the app.
3. Phone permissions
- Notifications and alarms — so the alarm rings on time and the bedtime reminder arrives.
- Camera — only to scan a QR code or barcode while setting up or completing a task. The image is processed on the phone, is not stored and is not sent anywhere.
- Motion & Fitness / Physical activity — only to count steps during the Steps task. Counting happens on the phone. The Squats task uses the phone’s motion sensor, which needs no separate permission; motion data is processed on the phone and never sent anywhere.
You can withdraw any permission in your phone settings. The related feature then stops working; the Math task always remains available.
4. Data that may be sent to our server
If sync is enabled in your version of AWERO, the app sends to the AWERO server:
- technical data: a random installation ID created by the app (not linked to your name, phone number or advertising ID), platform, app and system versions, and time zone;
- copies of your alarms and wake-up history from section 2 (without your name), so they can be restored and statistics stay accurate;
- anonymous usage events, such as "alarm created" or "task completed", to find bugs and make the alarm more reliable;
- diagnostics — only when you send a support request yourself;
- crash reports — only if you turn on “Send crash reports” in Settings (off by default): the type of failure, a technical call trace of the app, app and system versions and phone model. They contain no name or alarm content.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
5. Purchases
The AWERO Pro subscription is sold and charged by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). We only receive whether your subscription is active. We have no access to your payment details. Purchases are governed by Apple's and Google's terms.
6. Why we use data and our legal bases
- To run the alarm, keep your settings and show statistics — necessary to provide the service.
- To find bugs and improve reliability — our legitimate interest in a working alarm; only anonymous events are used for this.
- Camera, motion sensor and notifications — your consent through system permissions.
- Support replies — at your request.
7. Who receives data
We do not sell or rent data. Only these parties may access it:
- the hosting provider that runs the AWERO server ([hosting]), acting on our instructions;
- Apple and Google, for purchases and app store operation under their own policies;
- public authorities, only when the law requires it.
8. How long we keep data
- On your phone — until you delete the app or its data.
- On our server — while you use AWERO. We delete it within 30 days of your request.
- Anonymous events — no longer than 24 months.
- Crash reports — 90 days.
9. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and object to its processing. Write to [email] and mention that you use AWERO. If you believe we are violating your rights, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
10. Children
AWERO is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age set by the law of your country). We do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Security
Connections to the server use HTTPS, and server access is restricted. No storage method is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
12. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top, and we will announce significant changes in the app.
