AWERO Terms of Use

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Draft — company details are not filled in yet.

These terms are an agreement between you and [owner] ("we") about using the AWERO alarm app. By installing or using AWERO you accept them. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.

1. What AWERO is

AWERO is an alarm that turns off after a short task: solve a problem, walk a few steps, do squats or scan a QR code. It helps you build the habit of getting up on time. It is not a medical device and does not replace medical advice about sleep.

2. Alarm reliability

We do our best to make the alarm ring on time, but it also depends on your phone: battery, volume, Do Not Disturb and battery-saving modes, permissions, system updates and whether the phone is on. We therefore cannot guarantee the alarm will ring in every case. For very important events, such as a flight or an exam, set a second alarm as well.

3. Task safety

Do the Steps, Squats and QR code tasks carefully, especially in the dark and when you have just woken up. Do not do a task if it is unsafe for you or others. In an emergency, use Emergency stop.

4. Free plan and AWERO Pro

5. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use AWERO on your devices for non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, sell or distribute the app, bypass subscription limits, interfere with the server, or reverse engineer or decompile the app, except where the law expressly allows it.

6. Ownership

The app, its design, illustrations, sounds and the AWERO trademark belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not transfer any rights in them to you.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

AWERO is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the app will work without errors or interruptions, and we are not liable for indirect damages, including being late or missing events. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for AWERO Pro in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer protection law or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Termination

You can stop using AWERO and delete the app at any time. We may restrict access if you materially breach these terms.

9. If you downloaded AWERO from the App Store

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. We, not Apple, handle any claims relating to the app, including third-party intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [country], unless mandatory law of your country of residence provides otherwise.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. We will announce significant changes in the app in advance. If you keep using AWERO after the changes take effect, you accept them.
